Greenville College defeats UMass-Boston after late game single, 7-3

AUBURNDALE, Fla. -- Greenville College and Massachusetts - Boston traded the lead four times on Thursday, but Greenville College ended up on top with a 7-3 win over UMass-Boston.

Greenville College took the lead in the fourth inning and held on for the victory. Greenville College scored on an RBI single by Tim Osbourne off Michael Boughton, scoring Mitchell Cernek.

Cole Lawson racked up three RBIs on three hits for Greenville College . He doubled in the second inning and singled in the first and fourth innings.

Josh Wagemann got the win for Greenville College . He allowed three runs over 6 2/3 innings. He struck out two, walked three and surrendered seven hits.

The top of the second saw UMass-Boston take an early lead, 1-0. After Matt Consiglio singled, Luke Fischetti tripled, plating Charles LaPaglia.

It didn't take long for Greenville College to answer as it scored three runs of its own in the second. Greenville College scored on a three-run double by Lawson.
