New Schedule and Format Announced for Agape

Published: April 13, 2021

New Schedule and Format Announced for AgapeGreenville College is happy to announce an exciting development for the future of Agapefest: a new name and production format.

The event, held at the Bond County fairgrounds for 37 years, has a strong tradition of Christian music and speakers. To expand this tradition, a new production and name format has been designed. AgapeFest, now Agape, will transition from a traditional festival format to a regular series of events and performances throughout the year. The events will be hosted locally and feature similar artists showcased at AgapeFest.

Agape fans may engage in as many of these events as desired with options for season ticket holders and VIP ticket packages in the future. The location, time and line up of these upcoming events will be available on the Agape website, Facebook page, Twitter and Instagram accounts.

The first event will be April 10 at 7:30 p.m. in the James E. Wilson Recital Hall in Whitlock Music Center featuring Propaganda, a Christian hip hop artist, political activist and spoken word poet.

Tickets can be purchased at the Greenville College Dining commons and or online atbit.ly/GCProp. Ticket prices are $15 for the public; $10 for students with a valid student ID and $20 at the door.

The second event is a Battle of the Bands showcase on May 9. For information about entry into the showcase and prizes for Battle of the Bands winners, check the Agape website and social media.
