2016 Greenville College Commencement Schedule and Speakers

The 2016 Greenville College Commencement activities will begin on Friday, May 20 with the Ivy Cutting Ceremony at 6:15 p.m., followed by the Baccalaureate Ceremony at 7:30 p.m. Masters degree, adult degree completion and off-campus partnership students will be recognized on Saturday, May 21 at 10:00 a.m. in Crum Recreation Center. Traditional undergraduate students will be recognized at 3:00 p.m. also in Crum Recreation Center.

The 2016 Baccalaureate Keynote Speaker, nominated by graduating seniors, will bePaul Sunderland,Professor of Worship Arts at Greenville College.

Saturdays ceremonies at 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. will feature Commencement Keynote Speaker Hal Conklin,Chairman of the Board of Administration for both the Southern California Conference of the Free Methodist Church, as well as the Chairman of the BOA for the national Free Methodist Church USA. Following the traditional undergraduate ceremony, the Greenville College Choir will perform a concert at 5:30 p.m. in Whitlock Music Center.

All of this years events scheduled for commencement weekend are open to the public with the exception of Saturdays breakfast reception for graduates and their families.

6:30 p.m.Ivy Cutting Ceremony- Front Lawn (ceremony will be moved to Crum Recreation Center in the event of inclement weather)

7:30 p.m.Baccalaureate- Crum Recreation Center

8:00 - 9:00 a.m. -Commencement Breakfast Reception-Presidents House

10:00 a.m. -Commencement - Adult, Graduate & UTEP-Crum Recreation Center

11:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.Luncheon-Armington Center

3:00 p.m.Commencement - Traditional Students -Crum Recreation Center

5:30 - 6:15 p.m.GC Choir Concert -Whitlock Music Center

WGRN will be broadcasting both for the Adult, Graduate, and UTEP Ceremony and the Traditional Students Ceremony on Saturday. You can tune in locally at 89.5 FM or listen online on theWGRN website.
