GC Women's Soccer Victorious, Beats Tennessee Temple 6-1

SEWANEE, Ten.-- The Lady Panthers dominate Tennessee Temple, winning the game 6-1 and bringing home a win as a souvenir from their trip south.

GC capitalized just 2 minutes into the game when junior Jen Williams shot the ball over the Tennessee Temple goalkeeper to bring GC up 1-0. Natalie Henneberry, whowas credited with the first assist of the game, added to Greenville's lead and scored in the 20th minute off a pass from Kelsey Panzau. This brought GC up 2-0 heading into halftime.

The second half proved to be even more successful for the women, as they recorded 4 more goals. Jen Williams scored her second goal in the 58th minute of the game, Katelyn Reckert added one off an assist from Heather Wein, Kieley Leach finished a pass from Kayla Henneberry in the 66th minute, and Kency Lopez set upKelsey Panzau, who put the ball in the back of the net in the 83rd minute of the game.

Tennessee Temple's lone goal occurred in the 62nd minute of the game when Brenda Valsquez shot the ball past GC.

Greenville outshot their opponents 18-5, with Natalie Henneberry, Kelsey Panzau, and Jen Williams eachadding 4 shots to the total.

With this win, the ladies record is 3-4-1. The women will play again Wednesday when they travel to Canton, Missouri to take on Culver-Stockton at
