GC Men Drop Game to Western Illinois 76-49

MACOMB, Ill.--The Panther basketball team was handed a tough road loss to undefeated Western Illinois.

At halftime, GC was only down by 10 points. Unfortunately for the Panthers, a second half scoring surge catapulted the Fighting Leathernecks to a 76-49 victory.

Tim Daniel led GC in scoring, earning 9 points and recording 7 rebounds in the game. Tevin Rollins and Ron Harris also had noteworthy numbers. Rollins recorded 8 points, 2 rebounds, and 2 steals and went 4-5 in field goals. Harris scored 6 points and led the Panthers in rebounds, collecting 8 total.

Greenville went 8-8 from the free throw line, recording an impressive 100% team average. The Panthers had 6 steals and 32 total rebounds in the game.

The Leathernecks had four players score ten or more points and were lead by Adam Link, with 16 total.

The loss brings GC to a record of 4-2. The team will travel to Webster for their next game on Wednesday, December 4 at 8:00pm.
