GC Football Earns Impressive 56-6 Win Over Martin Luther

GREENVILLE, Ill.-- The Panther football team took on Martin Luther Saturday and came away with a huge 56-6 victory.

The Panthers scored two touchdowns in the first quarter, added two more in the second, another in the third, and another three touchdowns in the final quarter.

The Greenville rushing attack picked up more than 350 yards. Jacob Stull led the way with 103 yards and one touchdown. Carson Guzman picked up 99 yards, and Zibeon Washington produced 89 yards.

Quarterback Brendan Chambers rushed for two touchdowns and contributed 184 passing yards with two touchdown passes.

Defensively, the Panthers were led by Jacob Bronars with six tackles. Cody Lopez snagged an interception, and the Panthers recovered two fumbles.

This win brings Greenville's record to 4-0 (3-0 UMAC). The 4-0 start is the first time the squad has been undefeated through its first four games since the inaugural football season of 1987. The Panthers will take the field again on Saturday, October 5, at Crown College where Greenville will attempt to become the second GC football unit to open 5-0.
