EUREKA, Ill.-- The Panther baseball team finished their weekend with two more wins over Eureka, 4-2 and 8-5. The team was excited after last night's win and kept their streak alive.

In the first game of the day, Ryan Smith was hot for the Panthers. Smith had two hits in the game and recorded two RBI. He hit a home-run in the top of the second inning to give Greenville the early lead. GC got a run in the 3rd inning, by Dylan Goldsmith, and Tim Osborne added another in the fifth. Eureka got ten hits in the game but could only score on two, so GC came away with the 4-2 win. Pitcher, Tyler Mitchell, was credited with the win after facing 26 batters, allowing 9 hits, and giving up 2 runs. Scotty Voyles earned his fourth save of the season giving up just one hit in the final inning of the game.

The second game was also impressive for Greenville. Seven different GC players recorded hits, as the team had 9 total hits and earned 8 runs. Matt Reinholtz, Dalton McFarland, and Kenny Trager each hit a double, and Goldsmith, Reinholtz, Trager, Cole Lawson, and Tyler Whitworth were each credited with RBI. Nick Bifano earned the win from the mound, facing 11 batters and allowing just one hit. Derek Reckmann pitched for 5 innings and gave up 9 hits and 5 runs for GC. Voyles earned another save, again allowing just one hit in the inning he pitched.

These wins move GC's record to 13-19 (10-11 SLIAC). They will take the home field again on April 30 when they play Principia.
