In addition to these qualities, those who nominated Sieger-Walls with the honor cited that her ability to engage students in critical thinking and inspire passion for learning and integrate Christ into every class through energy, enthusiasm, honesty and openness.

Dr. Sieger-Walls Recognized with W. Richard Stephens Outstanding Faculty Award"The best thing about teaching at Greenville College is witnessing how my students mature in their thinking over time, shares Sieger-Walls. I urge them to read and write with ever-increasing care, precision, and empathy. If I've really done my job right, they gain more passion for literature, too. They become advocates for increased literacy in their communities. By the time my students graduate, I want them to convince the world why literature matters so much."
