GREENVILLE, Ill. -- The baseball team opened conference tournament action with a 10-7 come-from-behind victory against Westminster. The Panthers trailed twice in the contest before a Josh Wheeler three-run homer gave them a 7-6 lead in the sixth.

Greenville added a run in the seventh and two in the eighth to take control of the game and advance in the winner's bracket of the SLIAC tournament.

Westminster jumped out to a 3-0 first inning lead as they reached Panther starting pitcher Ryan Strohm. The Panthers tied the game in the bottom of the first and took a one-run lead in the second.

The Blue Jays regained the lead with a two run fourth and pushed their lead to two runs with a tally in the sixth prior to Wheeler's heroics.

Strohm managed to push through six innings, limiting Westminster to six runs (four earned) on nine hits as he improved his record to 5-2.
