CARLINVILLE, Ill. The Panthers moved to 6-4 in the SLIAC on Saturday as they cruised past the Beavers of Blackburn College in an afternoon double-header. GC pounded BC in the opener 7-1, and kept the foot on gas in the capper with a convincing 14-0 decision.

At the plate, senior first baseman Justin Hubbard helped spearhead the clubs efforts with a 2-for-3, four RBI day in the opener.

Freshman pitcher Michael Wittmer claimed the win for Greenville going seven innings with one earned on five hits.

In game two, freshman DH Reid Cerutti was on fire at the plate to lead the Panthers. Cerutti batted 4-for-4 with six RBI and a run scored to help pace Greenville to the 14-0 win.

With the pair of wins on Saturday, GC Baseball is now 7-15 (6-2 SLIAC).

Greenville Baseball will return to action Tuesday, April 12, as they head back home to Robert E. Smith Field and play host to Fontbonne University. Tuesdays double-header against the Griffins will start the first of a five game home-stand for the Panthers.
