HILLSBORO, Ill. -- Freshman Aubree Schreder and senior Michelle Sutton led the way as the women's cross country team placed third at the SLIAC championshps on Saturday in Hillsboro. Schreder's run of 22:06 was the first place time and allowed her to earn the runner of the year and newcomer of the year trophies. She also broke the school record. Sutton was second with a time of 22:15. Shanna Ambuehl was sixth overall, and Rosie Nelson and Carisa Wilson placed 25th and 41st, respectively.

Because of their finishes, Schreder, Sutton, and Ambuehl were named to the all-conference first team.

The Lady Panthers continue their season at the Panther Trials on Friday, Nov. 5, as they prepare to compete in the NCAA midwest regional championships at Augustana (Ill.) on Saturday, Nov. 13.
