Greenville College announces John Barnes as interim head softball coach

Greenville College has accepted the resignations of senior women’s administrator and head softball coach Jamie Thanepohn and assistant softball coach Jenny Dowsey. Both stepped away from their positions for personal reasons. Assistant coach John Barnes has been promoted to interim head coach and will lead the Lady Panther softball squad for the remainder of the season.

The Greenville women’s track and field team traveled to Washington University for a two day meet on Friday, March 28 and Saturday, March 29. Out of 28 teams the Lady Panthers finished 20th for the weekend.

The men's tennis team looked to continue their winning ways this weekend, as they made a trip to Central Kansas. Greenville returned home with two wins, topping Central Christian 7-2 and defeating Kansas Wesleyan 8-1.

The baseball team's win streak was bumped up to four games after beating Westminster 4-0 at home. The game was completely scoreless except for the seventh inning when the Panthers tallied four runs.
