On Saturday, April 27, at the Illinois College True Blue Meet, history was made as junior, Josh Kuusisto broke Greenville College's hammer throw record, a record he set just last year.
The GC women's track and field team finished 4th out of 20 teams at Illinois College on Saturday, April 27. Taylor Brunner and Maggie McMurtrey led the Panthers in the meet with impressive performances in their respective events.
The GC Men's Track and Field team traveled to Illinois College to participate in the True Blue Meet and came in 2nd place out of the 24 teams that competed.
The Panthers headed into the SLIAC Semi-Final match off a 6-0 sweep of Fontbonne and hoped to earn their spot in the Finals match. Unfortunately, the Conference powerhouse, Webster would not relent and GC fell 5-1.
The GC baseball team beat Principia in both games of the double-header, winning 7-5 and 12-4. The wins improved the Panthers' Conference record to 7-11.
The Women's Tennis Post-Season Awards were announced and GC's own Lexi Baysinger was honored with the coveted Newcomer of the Year award. The duo of Baysinger and Lynch were named Baysinger also was recognized as a member of the All-Sportsmanship Team and Greenville won the Team Sportsmanship Award.
The GC Men closed out their conference season with a home loss to Westminster 6-3. The Panthers came out strong in doubles, capturing the #2 doubles match with a score of 8-5 by Alex Dowley and Jordan Tingle. They almost pulled off a win at #1, losing a close one 9-7.
