Baseball drops opening doubleheader to Central

The baseball team was topped by Central in both games of a doubleheader on Monday. The Panthers dropped the first game 2-1 and gave up eight runs in the top of the eighth as they fell 10-3 in game 2.

The men's track and field team sent six to the Wisconsin - Stevens Point Pointers NCAA Qualifier meet as they competed in eight events. As he has done all season, Bruce Gray solidified his spot among the NCAA elite by taking second in the 60 meter dash to a former NCAA champion.

The softball season commenced on Saturday as the Lady Panthers traveled to Freed-Hardeman and split a doubleheader. Greenville lost the first game 9-1 in five innings before holding on for a 6-5 win in the second contest as head coach Tracy Cromer opened her Greenville College career.
