Job Description

Part time internship position. MetroKids Focus. Description: This intern will be responsible for working with the MetroKids Director to make their children's weekend the highlight of a child's week. There will be various tasks including: leading a small group classroom; handling administrative tasks; teaching in the large group; connecting with children, their parents, and volunteers; along with any other tasks the MetroKids Director may need help with . Though this internship is specifically focused on elementary aged children, there may be moments where this intern would be asked to step into the MetroStudents ministry to help and learn to connect on a secondary education level. Required Qualifications: Familiarity wth Planning Center Online is a bonus. Ability to teach children of all ages from Pre-K to 6th grade. Must be responsible and teachable. Must submit to a background check. Must be available specifically on Sundays from 7 am to 1 pm. Opportunity for hourly pay: If you meet the following criteria, you will be paid through the Illinois Cooperative Work Study Program grant funding. Requirements: Illinois Resident. GPA 2.0. Completed a minimum of 22 credit hours. Enrolled in a practicum/internship course during the semester of internship.
