Job Description

Part time internship. Job Description: This intern will be responsible for working with the MetroStudents Director to make their teen's weekend one of the highlights of their week. There will be various tasks including: Assisting in small group leadership; handling administrative tasks; teaching in the large group; connecting with children, their parents, and volunteers; planning game/event activities; along with any other tasks the MetroStudents Director may need help with. Though this internship is specifically focused on teen aged children, there may be moments where this intern would be asked to step into the MetroKids ministry to help and learn to connect on an elementary education level. Required Qualifications: Familiarity with Planning Center Online is a bonus. Ability to teach and connect with children of all ages from 7th to 12th grade. Must be responsible and teachable. Must submit to a background check. Must be available specifically on Sundays from 4:30 pm to 8:30 pm. Opportunity for hourly pay: If you meet the following criteria, you will be paid through the Illinois Cooperative Work Study Program grant funding. Requirements: Illinois Resident. GPA 2.0. Completed a minimum of 22 credit hours. Enrolled in a practicum/internship course during the semester of internship.
