Job Description

The Village Christian Counseling Center, Ltd. (VCCC), is seeking a Clinically Licensed Psychotherapist or Professional Christian Counselor to join our practice located in Clarendon Hills, Illinois. Integrating Biblical wisdom with the behavioral sciences and associated best practice models, our mission is to be professionally excellent and distinctively Christian. Candidates dedicated to being a solution-focused resource for individuals, couples, and families seeking confidential counseling services and committed to providing transformational mental and spiritual health interventions must also demonstrate a willingness to join efforts in building their own client base while advancing the mission of VCCC. Please forward cover letter, resume and CV to Ed McHugh, LCSW, Clinical Director, at Required Qualifications: A master’s degree in psychology or a social science and the completion of a post-graduate internship. A clinical license in psychotherapy or one of the therapeutic fields (ie: marriage and family therapy, professional counseling, or social work). Excellent verbal and listening skills. Insightful and persistent. Ability to assess presenting and underlying challenges and work with individuals, couples and families toward modifying behaviors and learning new coping strategies. Work with clients to establish goals and identify steps toward meeting them. Ability to maintain records, track client progress, and write reports. Commitment to combining Biblical wisdom with the behavioral sciences. Minimal technical skills (experience with TherapyNotes a plus). Willingness to participate in marketing efforts to build client base. Excellent work ethic. Ability to work independently and as a member of a team. (Salary: $70+/Hour).
