Job Description

First United Methodist Church is in the process of restructuring its music program to become more nimble and ready for growth. This church seeks talented, part time musicians to work together to lead the music programs. Candidates should demonstrate a passion for worship, strong leadership and skills in planning and implementing musical performance. The church is seeking gifted musicians and will divide responsibilities and create positions based on the skill sets of the applicants. Collinsville First seeks candidates to fulfill the following responsibilities: Lead congregational singing vocally. Accompany congregation, choir and other performers with organ or piano. Accompany congregation using guitar. Direct vocal choir with evening rehearsals and monthly Sunday morning performance. All music ministry staff will be expected to: Communicate with other staff members. Respond positively to supervision by the pastor. Be a person who professes the Christian faith. Encourage others to participate in the music ministries of this church. All staff members at Collinsville First are expected to: Love and respect all people. Value diversity. Encourage other people in the Christian faith. Be relationship oriented. Have a positive attitude. Have a willingness to work with others. Support the church's mission and the pastor's vision.
