JACKSONVILLE, Ill. -- The men's track and field team used the first place performances of four entries to place second overall at the Illinois College Jim Green Invitational.
Bruce Gray used a time of 6.99 seconds in the 60 meter dash to qualify for the finals. He then ran 6.86 seconds in the finals to win by 13 hundredths of a second.
The men's 4x200 meter relay was tops, taking the race in 1:30.64.
In addition, the 1600 sprint medley team was the best, running 3:37.56.
Josh Kuusisto and Bryan Waugh were the top two participants in the weight throw, respectively. Kuusisto had a throw of 18.26 meters to win by nearly four meters over teammate Waugh who posted a 14.69 meter mark.
The Panthers continue their season Saturday at Monmouth.
