Women's Soccer Overtakes Lindenwood-Belleville

GREENVILLE, Ill-- The Lady Panthers beat the Lindenwood-Belleville Lynx 1-0 in a close match that gave the ladies their second win of the season.

The game's lone goal came just 2 minutes into the game when Natalie Henneberry finished a free kick by Emily Wright, who was credited with the assist.

Henneberry's goal was an impressive header that marked her 4th goal of the season. She is ranked third in the SLIAC in number of goals.

GC outshot their opponents 11-7 and Heidi Koehl earned her first shutout of the season recording 3 saves.

This win brings Greenville's record to 2-3-1. The women play again September 21 when they travel to Covenant College.
