The Greenville College football team played some of its best football during the 2009 season. So did Scott Schneider.
The Centralia grad helped the Panthers finish 7-3 in his final collegiate season - a season that included a perfect 3-0 mark in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference-South Division standings and a trip to the National Christian Collegiate Athletic Association Victory Bowl. The Panthers lost a 29-28 nailbiter to Geneva College in the bowl game.
Schneider played in all 10 games and finished with 23 solo tackles, 14 tackle assists, one interception and 19 return yards. The free safety was named to the UMAC first team following the season.
