Men's Basketball Keeps Tournament Hopes Alive with 77-73 Win Over Spalding

GREENVILLE, Ill. -- The men's basketball team came away with an exciting 77-73 win as they defeated Spalding on a special night recognizing eight seniors Monday.

Greenville had a very well balanced scoring night with four players scoring in double figures.  Markeith Brown and K.J. Hilliard shared the ownership of top scorer with 14 points each.  Jonas McBride and Dondrale Campbell chipped in with 11 and 10 points respectively.

Brown and Hilliard also led the Panthers in rebounds with five each.  Greenville had 11 players with an assist but leading the way were Campbell and Brown with three each.

The men's basketball team needed to win for any hope of making the SLIAC post-season tournament and have now improved to 15-9 overall and 10-6 in the SLIAC.  The Panthers will now have their eyes on a tomorrow night matchup between MacMurray and Eureka with Greenville needing Eureka to win for them to advance into exciting post-season play at Webster on Thursday night.
