EUREKA, Ill.-- The Panthers could not top the Eureka Red Devils on the road and lost with a final score of 75-60. Daniel Anderson and Tim Daniel led GC in scoring with 12 points each.
Greenville fell early, with Eureka going on an 11-0 run to start the game. The Panthers tried to come back but were unable to gain the lead and went into the locker room at halftime down 37-26. The second half would go to the Red Devils 38-34, which brought the game to a final score of 75-60, Eureka.
The Panthers were led offensively by Daniel Anderson and Tim Daniel, who recorded 12 points each. Defensively, GC looked to TodD Albertson and Ben Giertz. Albertson had 4 rebounds and 2 steals and Giertz grabbed 7 of the 29 Panther rebounds.
The loss brings Greenville's record to 8-11 (3-7 SLIAC). The Panthers play on the road once again Saturday, Feb. 2 when they take on Webster at 3:00pm.
