GREENVILLE, Ill. - Greenville College has announced that they will be hosting the Greenville College Panther Baseball Academy to be headed by Lynn Carlson, 14th year head coach of the Greenville College baseball program. The Greenville College Baseball Academy is an overnight baseball camp on the campus of Greenville College where the athletes get a chance to eat in the dining commons, sleep in the dorm rooms and most importantly, learn the game of baseball.
The camp will consist of baseball-related drills, contests, and activities all day for three full days beginning on Sunday, June 13, and ending at noon on Wednesday, June 16. Greenville College head coach and former professional pitcher, Lynn Carlson, will be the primary instructor in the academy and will be assisted by assistant coaches Andy Rincker and Dan Marsh as well as current and former Greenville College baseball players. The academy will be held on Robert E. Smith Field as well as in the Briner Center on the John M. Strahl Athletic Complex, one mile south of the Greenville College campus.
The camps will also feature a low player to instructor ratio, so each player will receive individualized instruction as well as video analysis. The cost of the academy is $199 for overnight campers and $155 for commuters.
