Men's Basketball Topped by Eureka Come-from-Behind Effort

GREENVILLE, Ill. -- The men's basketball team took a tough loss Saturday to Eureka 101-97.  Greenville's top scorer was Markeith Brown with 22 points.

Following Brown in scoring were Jonas McBride, Simon Martin, and Jose Garcia with 15, 14, and 12 points, respectively.

McBride was also on top in rebounds, bringing down five, along with Ben Giertz who also had five.

The Panthers fought hard the entire game, but the win slipped through their fingers at the end when Eureka battled to score 66 points in the second half.

Greenville's record went to 10-8 (5-5 SLIAC).  They will be on the road Wednesday taking on Fontbonne University at 8 p.m.
