Women's Basketball Stopped at Fontbonne 69-58

ST. LOUIS -- The women's basketball team was defeated 69-58 at Fontbonne Saturday afternoon.  Greenville (8-5, 3-3 SLIAC) is now tied with Blackburn for fifth place in the conference standings.  Laura Hobbie and Stacey Lawrence were the Lady Panthers' leading scorers with a total of 11 points each.  Lawrence also passed out four assists.

Katelyn Wise chipped in a team-high six rebounds and Emmalee Fladland accumulated three steals.

Fontbonne (8-7, 4-2) led 36-29 at halftime and outscored Greenville by four in the second half.

Greenville returns to action Wednesday night at 6 p.m. when they host MacMurray at 6 p.m.
