Musical performance is as much a fixture at Greenville College as LaDue Auditorium, venue for countless senior recitals and concerts on campus since 1906. The summer 2013 issue of The RECORD, just published, shines its spotlight on GC alumni and students who make music on stage, in the studio and sanctuary. The issue takes a peek at the opera world of Sarah (Coleman ’06) Toth, soprano with the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. It joins Greenville College’s new Jazz Band on its first ever tour and traces the career of remix artist André Anjos ’08 from a residence hall on campus to his eventual work with “just about every label out there.” The RECORD also guides readers back in time to the 1940s and ’50s when male quartets took their sweet-sounding harmonies on the road as ambassadors for the College and ministers of the Gospel.
