Spring RECORD Showcases Entrepreneurs

For the first time, The RECORD includes links to “web extras,” additional information about the subjects in the magazine. View The RECORD, From Vision to Reality below and access its added online features to the left of the page.

According to a national poll commissioned by Northeastern University, more than two-thirds of Americans between the ages of 18 and 30 believe it is “extremely important” or “very important” for colleges and universities to teach students about entrepreneurship. The spring 2013 issue of Greenville College’s alumni magazine The RECORD embraces this timely topic. It features a look at three alumni entrepreneurs and their professional journeys:

• Enoch Poon ’86, a former systems engineer, traded programming for law and law for international trade before starting Innovative International LLC.

• Lesley Burbridge ’89 directed AgapeFest as a student at GC and followed God’s call into the entertainment industry. There, she established L.A.B. Media, a public relations firm.

• Mike Malone ’99 followed God’s leading down the entrepreneurial path as he pursued his vision for a charter school in St. Louis with a thoroughly college-bound culture.

Also featured is Kevin Kwilinski ’90, whose entrepreneurial spirit applied to an existing business exemplifies the recently-coined term, “intrapreneur.”
