GC's English Major equips students to make effective use of the written word. The English Major offers courses in American, English, and World literature, creative writing, and in journalism. For those interested in educating others in these areas, we offer majors in English and Spanish Education, as well as offering a certificate program in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Language.
The Language, Literature and Culture Department welcomes students who are interested in learning about the impulses, dreams, and lives of famous authors and individuals who have shared these experiences through their literature, their language, and their values and belief systems.
