What's your favorite thing about working at Greenville College?

My favorite thing about working at Greenville College is that every class period I have the opportunity to do what I love--my passion--teach art history. As someone once stated, do what you love and you'll never work a day in your life; that's the way I feel.

What attracted you to Art, and how do you use it outside of the classroom?

I have always been attracted to art. In high school I took four years of art classes. If my life after high school would have been different, I probably would be teaching art in high school today. After a series of personal events in my life, I decided I needed to finish my undergrad degree and started taking classes at GC. One class opened my eyes to the wonder of the lives of artists and the creation of works of art. From this point, I followed my heart and decided to pursue a study in art history. Art centers me. I try to visit as many art museums as possible, and have traveled to Europe four times to see the marvelous works of art. I also surround myself with art in my home and in my office. "Art is what makes us human."
