Coaching Career

Ackerman has been coaching for seven years. In his first year as head coach at GC, he received the SLIAC Coach of the Year award. He also lead the team to their best record in ten years and the highest conference finish ever. Ackerman served as assistant coach at Greenville College for five years prior to being named head coach.

Ackerman also coaches a boys select team from the St.Louis area who were, at one time, ranked fourth in the nation. His team won more tournaments than any other team in their age group last season and capped off the season with a regional championship.
