Before returning to GC in 2001 he taught at Geneva College, where he also served as director of assessment. He has served as co-director of the national Comprehensive Assessment Project conducted by the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities. He has published in both the psychological and higher education literatures and spoken extensively at regional, national, and international conferences.
His volunteer work includes serving as a peer reviewer for the Higher Learning Commission and as a board member for Greenville Regional Hospital.
"I love working at GC! It is a rich Christian, academic community where individuals are valued, wonderful relationships form, and learning is deep. The college has grown dramatically since I was a student in the 1980s, but is essentially unchanged in culture. It is a wonderful place of spiritual and intellectual transformation for students."
