I have taught traditional classes at Kaskaskia College in Centralia and on campus at G.C. and enjoyed both experiences but I cannot begin to compare that to the Organizational Leadership teaching opportunities I have experienced. Adult students are more focused on doing well, more ready to put in the work, and have life experiences that I can use to enhance the learning environment. Instructing adults has been a wonderful experience also as far as they are much more appreciative of my efforts on their behalf.
I love to travel to South Carolina to visit my daughter and two granddaughters. As far as hobbies I enjoy staying in shape with the use of a treadmill and riding bicycles. I also enjoy interacting with my 3 adult children now more as confidant than parent.

Related Experiences
I have worked in Community Mental Health for over 30 years. I have split that time working with all types of persons with all types of problems as a clinical professional or Therapist. The other part of my experience has been supervising over 30 employees as a program manager. I felt that my experience was great preparation for working with adult students who obviously bring their issues to the classroom in some fashion. Also, I have been given much practice in the art of communicating on an individual as well as group basis. The difficult part of communication is being an effective listener and my professional background certainly gave me the training and experience to relate to a variety of people.
