MA Teaching English as a Second Language - completely online
Teacher demands and expectations today are far greater than they have ever been, but are classroom teachers adequately prepared to teach and interact with this culturally and linguistically diverse population? In classrooms where that is communicated, practiced, and perceived; you have the immediate potential to greatly affect and impact students. It is imperative that teachers learn how to effectively communicate cross-culturally in such diverse contexts.
Greenville University's ESL program provides online courses to prepare you to teach English to individuals for whom English is not their primary language. If you hold an Illinois teaching license, you will also complete 100 hours of field experience needed to meet Illinois State Board of Education requirements for ESL approval/endorsement. This program is not an initial licensure program.
