The Donald N. and Kathleen G. Bastian School of Theology, Philosophy, and Ministry

Shaping a new generation of pastors in the Wesleyan tradition

Greenville University established the Donald N. and Kathleen G. Bastian School of Theology, Philosophy, and Ministry to shape students into Christ-centered, Spirit-inspired pastors and laypeople who make Christ’s offer of abundant life known to the world.

Many Greenville University students embrace a call to serve in Christ’s name through the church, on the mission field, in chaplaincy or in higher education. The Bastian School equips these students to help others experience the extravagant love of God.

Pastoral Emphasis

The school’s focus on strong pastoral training demonstrates its commitment to both the local church and the Wesleyan heritage of the Free Methodist tradition. It strives to integrate church, classroom, and community. Guided by the church in their worship of Christ, students inquire deeply into the Bible within the classroom and engage the broader community through internships, service, and worship in their local congregation.
