Job Description:

Greenville College is in need of a dedicated professional for our Staff Accountant position. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing journal entries
  • Posting to the General Ledger
  • Producing various accounting and financial reports
  • General performance of bookkeeping.

Reports To:

Controller

Required Skills:

  • Strong administrative and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively
  • Strong ability to use MS Office packages, including MS Word and Excel
  • Strong technology skills
  • Ability to pay attention to detail and maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently, thinking critically to improve processes
  • Ability to learn reporting and analysis tools including InfoMaker and Salesforce software

Preferred Qualifications:

Commitment to Christ and the Christian ideals of Greenville College including all aspects of the Growing and Learning Together Lifestyle Statement. This position is expected to follow the lifestyle guidelines outlined in that statement.

Education or Certification:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required
