Job Description:

The university seeks an entrepreneurial and innovative graduate faculty member who will advance its experiential learning model that meets current and emerging industry needs while developing leaders who are prepared to create and sustain success in a changing global environment. The successful transition of the Department of Business Management to the Briner School of Business, recently launched in 2015, is a top priority as Greenville College transitions to Greenville University this year. The selected candidate will have an exceptional opportunity to build a lasting legacy of excellence and innovation in business education through a recently launched, international focused face to face program and existing online Master’s platforms.

Reporting to the Chair of Graduate Management Programs, the new faculty member will be expected to assume teaching responsibilities in the Master of Science in Management and Master in Business Administration programs. This position involves teaching responsibilities in the graduate area of business studies with a focus on management as well as areas including, but not limited to: business statistics, international business, business strategy, principles of marketing, business analysis, managerial ethics, project management, entrepreneurship and global business management. Other duties may include developing or amending program curriculum, assessment of learning outcomes. Additional responsibilities normally expected of a full-time faculty member include committee work; advising students; regular participation in efforts of recruitment, retention, and other duties as assigned by the School of Business Dean or Vice President for Academic Affairs.

  • Has a willingness to work with residential and online students.
  • Demonstrates a cooperative, collegial spirit.
  • Has experience developing and teaching online and residential Master’s level courses.

The Briner School of Business and Greenville College

Greenville College, soon to be Greenville University, has a growing Business School with a commitment to experiential learning, faith integration and internationalization and is one of the largest departments on campus.  Greenville College has approximately 1600 students and is located 50 miles east of St. Louis in an attractive residential community of approximately 7,000 people.

The scale for determining compensation is based on academic preparation and years of relevant experience.
