Job Description:

Greenville College is seeking a dynamic Dean of Graduate Studies for a full-time, tenure-track position to oversee a growing number of graduate programs, currently housed primarily in the Schools of Education and Business.  The appointment will begin Fall 2017.

We are seeking a potential colleague who

  • Is dedicated to graduate teaching. 
  • Is committed to serve as a role model for both faculty and students within an academic community with a distinctively Christian mission. 
  • Demonstrates an understanding of and commitment to liberal arts and professional education.
  • Has an active and vibrant Christian faith.
  • Holds an earned doctorate (Ph.D. preferred) in either Education or Business.
  • Has past administrative experience.
  • Has a record of excellent teaching.
  • Has experience with multiple methods of curriculum delivery.
  • Is committed to cultural competency and the inclusion of diverse cultures.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will provide oversight for four primary areas: 1.) Curriculum—will oversee development, creation, and assessment of graduate offerings, including course approval, and appropriate institutional and missional alignment; 2.) Student Learning—will be responsible for student assessment, and guidance for student research; 3.) Policies and Procedures—will oversee appropriate committee structure for all graduate programs, including handbook design and alignment; 4.) Administration—oversight of Institutional Research within graduate programs.  The person selected will also teach twelve (12) graduate credit hours in their respective field, over the course of the academic year.

Compensation:

Salary is based on academic preparation and years of relevant experience. The College also provides a generous benefits package that includes health and disability insurance.
