Job Description:

Greenville College invites applications and nominations of strong candidates for a full-time tenure-track faculty position in the Engineering Program (rank open) beginning August 2017. This individual will teach primarily in the area of mechanical engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

Full-time faculty teaching load in the engineering program is about 12 credit hours per semester inclusive of leading student design projects and/or research labs. Other responsibilities include assisting in recruitment of students, student mentoring and advisement, departmental planning, and regular participation in institutional committee work.

Salary is based on academic preparation and years of relevant experience. Preferred Qualifications:

A Ph.D. in mechanical engineering or MS in mechanical engineering with significant experience is required. The successful candidate will demonstrate knowledge and practice of engineering with an aptitude for "hands-on” design. Candidates with a record of successful college teaching, the Professional Engineer designation, active and on-going scholarship, experience with ABET accreditation will be favorably considered. Candidates must be dedicated to undergraduate teaching and committed to serving as a role model for students within a Christian academic community. A vibrant personal Christian faith commitment is required.
