Greenville University invites applications and nominations of strong candidates for a full-time tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor in the Engineering Program beginning August 2018. This individual will teach primarily in the area of civil/environmental engineering. Candidates with expertise in renewable energy with electrical engineering experience will also be favorably considered.  

GREENVILLE UNIVERSITY: The University is located 50 miles east of St. Louis in an attractive residential community of approximately 7,000 people. Key Responsibilities:

Full-time faculty teaching load in the engineering program is about 12 credit hours per semester inclusive of leading student design projects and/or research labs. Other responsibilities include assisting in recruitment of students, student mentoring and advisement, departmental planning, and regular participation in institutional committee work.

Compensation:

Salary is based on academic preparation and years of relevant experience. Preferred Qualifications:

A Ph.D. in civil/environmental or electrical engineering or MS in civil/environmental or electrical engineering with significant experience is required. The successful candidate will demonstrate knowledge and practice of engineering with an aptitude for "hands-on” design. Candidates with a record of successful university teaching, the Professional Engineer designation, active and on-going scholarship, experience with environmental/renewable energy will be favorably considered. Candidates must be dedicated to undergraduate teaching and committed to serving as a role model for students within a Christian academic community. A vibrant personal Christian faith commitment is required.
